Fatal Pedestrian Collision near Union Hills Drive in Glendale
GLENDALE, AZ (August 31, 2021) – Sunday night, an unidentified pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on Agua Fria Freeway.
Around 7:45 p.m., officers responded to the southbound lanes of the freeway near Union Hills Drive.
According to reports, the pedestrian was walking along the southbound lanes of State Route 101 and was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. However, their identity has not yet been released.
Additionally, authorities closed down the southbound lanes of Agua Fria Freeway during cleanup and preliminary duties. But, the road has since reopened to traffic.
