Nancy Ramirez and Sandra Casarez Injured by Red-Light Runner on Virginia Street [Kern, CA]
Red Light Runner Injures KCSO deputy, Nancy Ramirez, and Sandra Casarez
KERN, CA (August 31, 2021) – Last Saturday, Nancy Ramirez, Sandra Casarez, and a KCSO deputy were hospitalized in a multi-vehicle collision with a red-light runner.
The deadly crash happened around 12:45 a.m., a the intersection of Virginia Street and Niles Street.
According to authorities, a black 2004 Chevrolet Silverado failed to stop for a red light and struck a KCSO patrol car. Subsequently, the truck came to a stop after it hit the traffic signal pole .
Police identified the driver of the truck as Abram Parra-Pantoja, who fled on foot from the scene and is still at lagre.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported Nancy Ramirez to a local hospital with major injuries.
Anyone with information about the collision or on the whereabouts of Abram Parra-Pantoja are asked to contact the CHP at 661-396-6600.
At this time, Kern County officials are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
