One Killed in Deadly Pedestrian Collision on 57 Freeway
ORANGE COUNTY, CA (August 30, 2021) – The CHP are currently investigating a fatal pedestrian collision on the 57 Freeway that took the life of one person.
The fatal crash happened around 5 a.m. August 23, on the Southbound 57 Freeway near Lambert Road, before Imperial Highway.
According to reports, the southbound 57 Freeway was shut down temporarily for an investigation, but reopened at about 9 a.m.
Meanwhile, officials are unsure as to why the person was walking on the freeway lanes or how they were struck by the vehicle.
At this time, CHP has no further information about the fatal pedestrian collision. However, an active investigation remains ongoing.
