Young Boy Dead after Pickup Truck Collision on 91st Avenue
LAKE STEVENS, WA (August 26, 2021) – A 12-year-old boy lost his life Tuesday evening after a fatal pickup truck collision on 91st Avenue.
The crash happened last Tuesday August 17, on 91st Avenue Northeast in the 5500 block.
According to reports, the boy was riding scooters with a friend in a driveway when he darted out into the street, and a passing pickup truck struck him.
The driver was unable to stop in time and struck the child, however the pickup truck driver came to a halt and assisted the child until medics arrived.
Responding crews declared the boy dead at the scene.
At this time, authorities have not released the identity of the victim involved. Once available, more information will be released.
An active investigation is currently underway.
