2 Dead after Head-On Collision on Highway 45 [Glenn, CA]
Fatal 2-Car Accident near Highway 162 in Glenn
GLENN, CA (August 26, 2021) – Monday morning, two people died and three others sustained injuries in a head-on collision on Highway 45.
The accident occurred on Highway 45, just south of Highway 162, at 6:15 a.m. on August 23.
According to reports, a Ford Explorer with three passengers was heading north when the driver swerved into oncoming traffic for unknown reasons, colliding head-on with a Chevy Malibu.
Both male drivers were pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the collision.
Meanwhile, responding crews rushed three Ford passengers to the hospital for treatment.
CHP withheld the identities of the two men killed in the crash pending notification of next-of-kin.
At this time, an active investigation remains ongoing. Once available, more information will be released.
