Donald Burgeis Arrested and Stacy Pickering Died after DUI Crash on I-90
MOSES LAKE, WA (August 25, 2021) – Stacy Pickering died while officials arrested Donald Burgeis Sunday afternoon in a DUI rollover crash on Interstate 90.
The fatal crash happened around 4:00 p.m. August 15, on Interstate 90 about 7 miles west of Ritzville.
According to the WSP, Burgeis was driving westbound in a 2001 Ford Windstar minivan when it swerved into the center median.
Furthurmore, the vehicle then tried to get back onto the interstate, when it rolled over.
Paramedics pronounced the passenger, Stacy Pickering, 34, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, in the back were two juveniles, including a 9-month-old baby, who both survived without injury.
Authorities considered drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the accident. An investigation is currently underway.
