Hit-And-Run Suspect At-Large after Deadly Collision with Pedestrian on Vista
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 20, 2021) – On Friday, a hit-and-run driver struck and killed a pedestrian in the Vista area, San Diego Police said.
The fatal incident occurred around 9 P.M. on August 13 near Sycamore Avenue and Green Oak Road.
Furthermore, investigators identified the suspect’s vehicle as a possible Chevrolet Tahoe.
Unfortunately, the male pedestrian succumbed to his injuries despite the life-saving efforts given by the nearby residents and first responders.
At this time, Vista officials continue to withhold the identity of the deceased victim, pending notification from their next of kin.
However, police described the hit-and-run driver’s vehicle as a 2000-2004 light brown Tahoe with tinted windows.
In addition, the vehicle likely has at least one damaged or missing window and damage to the front bumper.
