DUI Crash Kills Jennifer Ortiz near I-15

LAS VEGAS, NV (August 20, 2021)Jennifer Ortiz was killed, and Alexandria Lind was arrested after a suspected DUI crash on I-15 Sunday morning.

Nevada Highway Patrol received reports of a crash near Blue Diamond Road at about 2:44 a.m., on August 16.

According to officials, 29 year-old Jennifer Ortiz was pushing a BMW off the road. Shortly after, a silver Lexus driven by Lind collided with the rear end of the BMW as well as Ortiz.

Paramedics arrived to quickly transport Ortiz to UMC Trauma where unfortunately she succumbed to her injuries.

Moreover, Alexandria Lind was arrested and is currently facing charges of a DUI resulting in a death, as well as failing to decrease speed.

Furthermore, the crash prompted the partial closure of the I-15 but has since been reopened.
