Woman Killed in Crash on Olive Drive Overpass [Bakersfield, CA]
Accident on Olive Drive Overpass above Highway 99 Resulted in One Fatality
BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 18, 2021) – A fatal crash on Saturday claimed the life of a woman in Olive Drive Overpass, CHP said.
Apparently, the officers heard the nearby collision while they’re patrolling Olive and Knudsen Drives.
Upon arrival, the responding officers determined that the crash involved a Ford Crown Victoria and a Ford F-150 pickup.
In addition, the investigators also claimed that the F-150 driver went over the center divider and into the opposite lane.
Afterwards, the pickup driver collided with the Crown Victoria occupied by a elderly female.
As a result, the two drivers on both vehicles suffered major injuries, while the passenger of the Crown Victoria died at the scene.
Police are investigating the scene on Olive Drive Overpass to identify the circumstances surrounding the crash.
