LONG BEACH, CA (August 16, 2021) – A woman lost her life Thursday evening after a hit-and-run accident on Seventh Street in Long Beach.
The fatal crash happened just before 8:34 p.m. August 12, at Seventh Street and Dawson Avenue.
Police said a pedestrian was walking northbound across Seventh Street in the east unmarked crosswalk at Dawson Avenue when a white Toyota truck struck her and kept going.
After the initial crash, a blue sport utility vehicle also ran over the pedestrian and fled the scene.
Medics and fire department personnel rushed the woman to the hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
