1 Killed and 1 Hurt in Head-On Collision on Durango Drive [Las Vegas, NV]
One Dead, One Injured in Fatal 2-Vehicle Crash on Durango Drive
LAS VEGAS, NV (August 12, 2021) – Tuesday morning, one person was killed and another was injured following a deadly head-on collision on Durango Drive.
The accident happened around 12:48 a.m., July 20 on Durango Drive just south of Gowan Avenue. Authorities arrived shortly after.
According to reports, a 2019 Toyota Camry was heading north on Durango when it struck the center median and started heading north in the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a Toyota Rav4.
Both cars spun as they came to a halt. Shortly after, the Camry caught fire. The driver, a 26-year-old man, was unable to exit the vehicle and was pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, medics rushed the Rav4’s driver, a 44-year-old Las Vegas man, to a hospital with serious injuries.
At this point, police have not confirmed their identities nor their conditions.
Authorities are still conducting an active investigation of the crash. Once available, more information will be released.
