One Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision on New York Avenue
LAS VEGAS, NV (August 12, 2021) – A 46-year-old man tragically died Sunday afternoon following a multi-vehicle collision on New York Avenue in Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police responded around 3:30 p.m. on August 8, along East New York Avenue near Lamb Avenue after reports of multi-vehicle collision in the area.
As per reports, the events leading up to the accident remain unclear. However, emergency crews located one person with injuries unspecified and rushed the person to Sunrise Trauma where he later died.
Meanwhile, medics also treated the second driver with minor injuries and the third driver luckily survived without any injuries.
Police later arrested the second driver on suspicion of DUI. However, no other details about their identities were given.
Furthermore, officials said the traffic around the crash were closed for a few hours for investigation and cleanup but has since reopened.
