Rider Killed in Motorcycle Crash on I-5 [San Diego, CA]
Fatal Interstate 5 Crash Left Motorcyclist Dead
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 11, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a motorcycle crash on I-5 that claimed the life of a motorcyclist last Saturday.
The fatal incident happened around 8:21 P.M. on the southbound San Diego Freeway at Cesar E. Chavez Parkway, said CHP.
During the investigation, officers say the motorcycle and the rider were moved to the center divider. However, the circumstances leading up to the crash remain unclear.
Furthermore, the CHP has not publicly provided the identity of the deceased victim of the crash.
The authorities issued a SigAlert around 9 P.M., shutting down 1 & 2 lanes of southbound I-5 at Ceasar E. Chavez Parkway. But, the road has since reopened to traffic.
