32-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Dies in Collision on Broadway Boulevard
TUCSON, AZ (August 11, 2021) – Friday night, Nicholas Hernandez, 32, died after being struck by a vehicle on Broadway Boulevard.
The incident took place around 9 p.m., at the 6300 block of E. Broadway Boulevard, as per report. Dispatchers arrived to the area shortly after.
Nicholas Hernandez allegedly shoplifted from a business northeast of Broadway and Wilmot. He then fled onto the westbound street where he was consequently struck by a westbound silver 2003 Nissan Sentra.
The driver of the Nissan pulled over and cooperated with authorities. The driver was not intoxicated at the time of the accident, according to the investigation.
Currently, no citations or charges have been filed. Meanwhile, the investigation is ongoing.
