Alex Berton Killed in Multi-Car Collision on S Pecos Road [Las Vegas, NV]
24-Year-Old Driver Dies in Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on South Pecos Road Intersection
LAS VEGAS, NV (August 9, 2021) – 24-year-old Alex Berton died and seven other people sustained injuries Sunday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash on South Pecos Road.
The tragic crash took place in the intersection of South Pecos Road and Hacienda Avenue on the afternoon of August 1.
According to reports, Berton was driving an Honda Accord eastbound on Hacienda when he ran a red light at the intersection with Pecos. Then, two vehicles traveling southbound on Pecos collided into the Honda’s driver’s side.
Following the collision, all three vehicles slid into the northbound lanes of Pecos, finally crashing with three additional vehicles.
Berton died at the scene, according to paramedics.
Meanwhile, medics transported a 70-year-old man involved in the crash to a hospital in critical condition.
Medics also transported six other people with moderate to severe injuries to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Officials have not yet released the status of all parties involved. However, the crash remains unresolved.
