33-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies after Fatal Crash near 128th Street
EVERETT, WA (August 6, 2021) – Tuesday afternoon, 33-year-old Jacob Roberts lost his life in a pedestrian crash on Interstate 5 in Everett.
The deadly accident happened just after 5:00 p.m., on August 3. Officers arrived just south of 128th Street on the southbound lanes.
According to reports, Roberts was initially standing on the right shoulder of the southbound freeway when he ran into the center of the freeway.
Due to the impact of the crash, Roberts suffered life-threatening injuries. Rescuers transported him to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
The surrounding area was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. But, the road has since reopened.
Authorities did not release any additional information at this time. However, the cause of the accident and factors involved remain under investigation.
