Highway 4 Crash Left Five Children and Adult Injured

ANTIOCH, CA (August 3, 2021) – A vehicle crash on Highway 4 in Antioch sends five children and one adult to a hospital, Thursday morning.

The incident happened around 7:06 A.M. on July 26, when a Toyota Camry collided with a van  in the eastbound lanes of Highway 4 west of Hillcrest Avenue, according to the CHP.

At the time of the accident, the Toyota Camry was occupied by five children, ages 2 to 11, and an adult female driver.

Eventually, firefighters arrived at the scene and extracted the female driver trapped inside. Medical personnel then transported all the patients to a hospital with minor to major injuries.

However, the identities of the patients remain unavailable.

Authorities are investigating the scene on Highway 4 to identify the circumstances surrounding the crash.
