Fatal Accident on US Highway 50 Results in One Fatality
LAKE TAHOE, CA (July 30, 2021) – A deadly multi-vehicle crash along Highway 50 claimed the life of Meriem Amimi on Thursday, police said.
Investigators say Amimi struck a 2015 Chevrolet while driving her 2006 Saturn Vue recklessly in the wrong direction.
As a result of the impact, the Saturn ejected Amimi and collided with a 2013 Toyota that was behind the Chevrolet.
Eventually, medical responders arrived and transported all the occupants from the Chevrolet to Renown Medical Center and Barton Medical Center.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota was transported from the scene by his family. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, Meriem Amimi, of Sparks, Nevada died at the scene.
At this time, the authorities are still investigating the incident.
