1 Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Collision on 101 Freeway

ENCINO, CA (July 14, 2021) – A rider lost his life Wednesday afternoon in a motorcycle collision on 101 Freeway in Encino.

The accident happened around 4:15 p.m. July 14th, at White Oak on the westbound side of the freeway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the facts leading up to the incident are yet unknown, it is known however that the crash involved a motorcycle and another car.

Paramedics pronounced the motorcycle rider dead at the scene. Authorities have withheld his identity as of the moment.

Furthermore, officials  declared a SigAlert and closed the four lanes of traffic on the westbound side for cleanup and investigation.

At this time, it is unknown whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the crash. An active investigation is underway.
