Pedestrian Killed by Metro Train on South Hill Street in Downtown L.A.
LOS ANGELES, CA (July 27, 2021) – Friday morning, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a Metro train on South Hill Street in downtown Los Angeles.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the 500 block of South Hill Street around 9:45 a.m.
Per reports, the pedestrian was struck by a train on the Metro B Line, formerly known as the Red Line.
Paramedics arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the site. However, the identity and gender of the fatally injured person were not immediately known.
The surrounding area where the pedestrian was struck on South Hill Street was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. But, the area has since reopened.
At this time, no further information has been released about the accident involving a Metro train on South Hill Street.
