Possible Hit-And-Run on Rosamond Kills Pedestrian

ROSAMOND, CA (July 20, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a possible hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of Victor Vilcapoma Zaga, Saturday night.

The fatal incident occurred just after 9:00 p.m., in the area of Matthew Avenue and 20th Street West.

At this time, the police are uncertain about the circumstances that led up to the pedestrian crash. However, the involved driver did not render aid and continued driving after the incident.

Upon arrival, emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

Later on, the Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the pedestrian as 73-year-old Victor Vilcapoma Zaga.
