Fatal Pedestrian Accident on State Route 3
HAYFORK, CA (July 9, 2021) – A man lost his life Monday evening following a fatal pedestrian accident on State Route 3 in Hayfork.
The fatal crash occurred on Highway 3 near Wildwood Road shortly before 9:30 p.m. on July 5.
Under unknown circumstances, a 2002 Dodge truck traveling southbound on the highway struck a pedestrian walking southbound on the highway.
Responding officers located and pronounced the unidentified pedestrian dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver who was involved in the accident remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Police urged anyone with information about the crash to call Officer J. Hunt at the CHP Trinity River Area office at (530) 623-3832.
