Woman Killed in Crash on Henry Miller Avenue [Los Banos, CA]
Trailer Crash in Los Banos Area Leaves One Fatality
LOS BANOS, CA (July 6, 2021) – Saturday, a crash involving a trailer truck claimed the life of a woman on Henry Miller Avenue in Los Banos.
Officers responded at the scene around 4:45 a.m., in the area of Henry Miller Avenue, east of Johnson Road.
Upon arrival, the responders found a damaged 2015 Chrysler and a two-axle flatbed utility trailer, including wood debris in the area.
Afterwards, the investigators determined that the Chrysler driver collided with the front of the detached trailer.
As a result of the impact, the trailer spun out before coming to stop at the eastbound lane.
In addition, 51-year-old Eugenio Mendoza also attempted to avoid the detached trailer by veering to the right.
However, Mendoza collided with the trailer and sent it to the northeast direction and came to rest on Henry Miller Avenue.
Eventually, the paramedics arrived and transported the woman to Doctor’s Medical Center.
There, she eventually succumbed to her injuries. The identity of the deceased victim remains unavailable pending notification of their next of kin.
Meanwhile, Mendoza did not receive any injuries from the crash.
The Los Banos authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
