One Killed in Crash on 22 Freeway [Garden Grove, CA]
Garden Grove Crash Left At Least One Fatality
GARDEN GROVE, CA (July 6, 2021) – Early Sunday morning, a crash on 22 Freeway killed at least one person, according to the CHP.
Officers responded to the crash just after 2:30 a.m. Dispatchers arrived on the westbound lanes of Garden Grove Freeway near Knott Street.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a white sedan in the center divider of the roadway.
The impact of the crash killed at least one of the occupants. However, the identity of the deceased victim and the circumstances surrounding the crash remain unknown.
Officials eventually closed down the westbound lanes of 22 Freeway around 2:37 a.m., and diverted the traffic off at Knott Street.
At this time, Garden Grove authorities along with Westminster police are searching the area for a missing woman from the crash.
