Two-Vehicle Crash on S. 37th Street Leaves Fatality
RICHMOND, CA (June 29, 2021) – Authorities identified Gary Styles as the man who died Thursday morning after a two-car crash on S. 37th Street.
The accident happened around 2:20 a.m. June 24, on S. 37th Street and Carlson Boulevard. Dispatchers arrived shortly after.
According to authorities, an Audi SUV driver was traveling north on Carson Boulevard when it t-boned an Acura sedan that had pulled into the intersection at South 37th Street. Although, the events leading up remain unknown.
Styles was found trapped inside the vehicle due to the impact of the crash. Emergency crews arrived on the scene and extricated him from the wrecked Acura.
Rescuers then took Styles to John Muir Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. Meanwhile, four people inside the Audi suffered unknown injuries and were sent to the nearest hospital.
At this time, authorities withheld the names of the patients and their condition.
Authorities later determined that the Audi driver was possibly under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
