Big-Rig Strikes and Kills Teenage Girl near Dixon Avenue
DIXON, CA (June 25, 2021) – A pedestrian accident on Interstate 80 claimed the life of Tiana Hawkins, early Sunday morning.
The accident occurred on the westbound lanes near Dixon Avenue around 12:48 a.m. According to reports, a big-rig struck multiple vehicles along its path.
Afterwards, the big-rig struck the teen standing on the hard shoulder of westbound Interstate 80. Due to the impact of the crash, the teenage girl died at the scene.
Later on, the Solano County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 17-year-old Tiana Hawkins, of Sacramento.
At this time, the authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
