Teen Killed in Brentwood Car Crash Identified
CONTRA COSTA, CA (June 22, 2021) – A two-vehicle crash in Brentwood claimed the life of Matias Rogers and left 2 other teens injured, Wednesday night.
According to the CHP, the incident occurred around 5:35 p.m., in the 4500 block of Sellers Avenue near Delta Road.
Later on, investigators determined that Roger’s white 2015 Acura TLX sedan crossed the solid double line while traveling southbound.
As a result, the Acura collided head-on with an oncoming 2003 Ford F-150 pickup-truck.
Emergency responders pronounced 16-year-old Matias Rogers dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the passenger of the Acura (15) and the driver of the pickup-truck (19) sustained major injuries.
Eventually, medical personnel transported the two patients to John Muir Medical Center for further treatment.
The California Highway Patrol Officers are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
