Deadly Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 5 in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (June 22, 2021) – Three unidentified people died Friday evening after a fiery two-car crash on Interstate 5 in Fresno.
The collision occurred on Interstate 5 near the Fresno/Coalinga off-ramp on June 18 at nearly 10:43 p.m. Dispatchers arrived shortly after.
According to the CHP, the accident involved two vehicles. Following the impact of the crash, one of the cars caught fire.
In addition, three occupants inside one of the vehicles died in the collision. Although, authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved.
In addition, Interstate 5 was closed for a brief time while authorities investigated the collision. But, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
The CHP is investigating the fatal fiery accident, but no further details have been released.
