26-Year-Old Driver Dies in Fatal Head-On Collision on Q Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 18, 2021) – Everardo Perez Jr., 26, died Saturday evening after a deadly head-on accident on Q Street near Jewett Avenue.
As per Bakersfield Police, the accident happened around 9:40 p.m., on June 12. Additionally, officers received calls about two other collisions near Q Street.
Officers responded and discovered that one crash involved a pedestrian who suffered moderate injuries and another involved a head-on collision.
When police arrived at the scene of the head-on collision, they discovered 26-year-old Perez with serious injuries. Soon after, paramedics arrived and transported him to Kern Medical Center, where he died shortly afterwards.
Furthermore, rescuers took a female passenger in the vehicle to a hospital with minor injuries.
At this time, the suspect remains in custody of the police for homicide and assault with a deadly weapon.
