Deadly Collision on Airport Way South Results in Fatality
SEATTLE, WA (June 11, 2021) – A pedestrian lost their life early Thursday morning after a deadly collision on Airport Way South in Seattle.
The accident happened around 3:00 a.m., on June 3. Officers arrived to the area near Airport Way South and South Norfolk Street.
At this time, the events leading up to the accident remain unknown. Responding officers arrived at the scene and discovered the pedestrian dead at the scene.
Officials did not release the identity of the deceased victim at this time, pending notification of next of kin.
Additionally, reports indicate that the driver stopped and called 911.
The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the road has since reopened to traffic.
Seattle Police are currently investigating the cause of the crash. Once available, more information will be released.
