Elderly Man Killed in DUI Accident on Lincoln Boulevard [Venice, CA]
Electric Scooter Accident in Venice Kills Elderly Person, Driver Arrested for DUI
VENICE, CA (June 1, 2021) – Saturday, a DUI accident on Lincoln Boulevard claimed the life of an elderly man according to the police.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division, the incident happened around 9:45 p.m., on Lincoln Boulevard near East Marco Court.
Reports stated that a man and a woman riding an electric scooter struck an elderly man while intoxicated.
As a result, the responders pronounce the elderly victim dead at the scene. However, the identity of the deceased man remains unavailable, pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the man and the woman on the rented electric scooter suffered from minor injuries.
Consequently, the authorities arrested the driver, 29-year-old James Cody Skene. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI and was booked into jail early the following morning.
