RESEDA, CA (June 1, 2021) – Sunday evening, 28-year-old Kelley Reid Spencer was killed in a fiery multi-vehicle crash on Corbin Avenue.
The incident took place around 8:05 p.m., at 7636 N Corbin Avenue. A total of nine vehicles were involved.
Spencer was driving a black BMW M3 north on Corbin Avenue. Meanwhile, a male juvenile was also heading north in a 2015 Mini Cooper convertible.
Both vehicles were traveling at a high rate of speed when the Mini Cooper struck a black 2013 Kia Optima. The Kia was then pushed into opposing lanes of traffic.
There, the Kia collided with a gray 2016 Volkswagen Golf sedan that was traveling south on Corbin Avenue. Spencer lost control of his BMW and veered into oncoming traffic before crashing into a southbound blue 2008 Chevy Silverado.
As a result, the Chevy then struck two parked vehicles. Medics took the Chevy driver to a hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Mini Cooper and the Kia occupants sustained moderate injuries. In addition, the Volkswagen driver suffered minor wounds.
