New Mexico State Police Officer Killed in Fatal Automobile Crash on US 285
ARTESIA, NM (May 27, 2021) – Thomas Frazier was pronounced dead Friday morning after a fatal tractor-trailer crash on U.S. Highway 285.
The deadly accident took place near mile marker 77 around 10:45 a.m. Emergency crews arrived shortly after.
According to reports, the Corporal was in an active investigation when his vehicle collided with the back of a tractor-trailer that was turning off of the roadway.
When emergency personnel arrived on the scene, they determined that the officer died as a result of his injuries. The semi’s operator was unharmed in the accident, but no further information is available.
Furthermore, the loved ones of Corporal Frazier made a GoFundMe page to help his family in this tragic time.
Even though the cause of the accident still remains unknown, an active investigation is underway.
