Shitani Pinomi Arrested after DUI Crash on Tustin Street [Orange, CA]
Fatal DUI Crash on Orange Resulted to 1 Fatality, Driver Arrested
ORANGE, CA (May 25, 2021) – Orange County Police arrested Shitani Pinomi after a fatal DUI crash that claimed the life of a 19-year-old pedestrian.
Emergency crews responded around 10:09 P.M., at the intersection of Tustin Street and Heim Avenue.
In addition, witnesses claimed that a truck driving south on Tustin Street ran past a red light on Heim Avenue. There, the driver struck a 19-year-old pedestrian.
Upon arrival, the responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the truck driver, identified as 39-year-old Shitani Pinomi remained at the site and cooperated with the police.
They arrested him for driving under the influence of alcohol. Authorities later booked Shitani Pinomi to the Orange County Prison for DUI manslaughter.
