Richard McQuade Arrested after DUI Crash on Wilson Avenue [Ridgecrest, CA]
Police Arrest Motorcyclist in Fatal Ridgecrest DUI Crash
RIDGECREST, CA (May 25, 2021) – Richard McQuade was arrested Friday night for DUI after a motorcycle accident on Wilson Avenue.
The collision occurred on May 14 around 6:00 p.m., at the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Helena Street.
According to CHP, McQuade was driving a motorcycle with a passenger when they crashed.
As a result, the passenger was ejected from the vehicle and was seriously injured. Paramedics transported the patient to Ridgecrest Regional Hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, police determined that McQuade was impaired by drugs at the time of the accident.
Officers discovered methamphetamine, controlled substance paraphernalia and a loaded illegal “Ghost Gun” in his possession.
CHP later arrested Richard McQuade on seven charges, including DUI causing great bodily harm and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia.
