24-Year-Old Martin Martinez-Parga Dies in Fatal Crash on 5th Street
LAS VEGAS, NV (May 19, 2021) – Martin Martinez-Parga was killed and two were injured Sunday night in a fatal crash on Lake Mead Boulevard.
The accident occurred shortly after 5:00 p.m., on May 16th. Emergency crews arrived near the intersection of Lake Mead Boulevard and 5th Street shortly after.
According to officers, one vehicle struck a pole.
The driver, Martinez-Parga, suffered life-threatening wounds and succumbed to his injuries on scene. In addition, two other men in the vehicle were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Rescuers had to pry the doors of the vehicle open to extract the occupants. Police say speed was likely a factor.
Police did not release any further details about the crash. However, additional information will be released once it becomes available.
