Michael Perales Injured in Fatal Car Collision on Santa Fe Avenue [Stanislaus County, CA]
Two Killed in Fatal Auto Accident near East Keyes Road
STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (May 3, 2021) – Wednesday morning, two people died and Michael Perales sustained injuries in a deadly collision on Santa Fe Avenue.
The tragic incident happened around 8:00 AM on April 28, on Santa Fe Avenue near south of East Keyes Road.
According to CHP, a 48-year-old woman driving a 2011 Chevrolet SUV drifted into the northbound lane and collided head-on with an oncoming 2017 Dodge Ram flatbed truck, for reasons still unknown.
Paramedics arrived and took the female SUV driver and her 16-year-old front seat passenger to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, where they were later pronounced dead.
Authorities withheld their identity until their next of kin are notified.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Ram, 39-year-old Michael Perales, was taken to Doctors Medical Center with moderate injuries.
CHP officers continue to investigate the cause of the fatal crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
