PALM SPRINGS, CA (April 22, 2021) – Monday morning, Joshua Woods was arrested after a fatal DUI crash on Indian Canyon Drive.
The deadly crash happened around 1:20 a.m. April 19, near Garnet Avenue. Emergency crews arrived shortly after being dispatched to the scene.
For suspected DUI reasons, Joshua Woods struck a steel pole on Indian Canyon Drive. Reports indicate that one passenger inside the vehicle died on scene.
Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin. Officers later arrested Joshua Woods, 30, of Desert Hot Springs for suspected DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
Responders temporarily closed the affected intersection as police investigated on the scene. But the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
